We are a small remote team and we hire slowly. If you like doing work properly and explaining it in plain words, we would like to hear from you.

We are not going to pretend we are a rocket ship with free lunches. We are a small team that builds software for businesses and sells a few tools of our own. The work is real, the clients are real, and nobody here is managing five layers of people.

What that means for you: you will talk to clients, you will own what you build, and you will see your work go live. It also means there is nobody to hide behind on a bad week. Some people love that. Some do not. Better to know now.

What it is like here

Remote, properly

Not "remote but come in on Tuesdays". We have been fully remote since 2015 and the process is built for it.

We pay for test tasks

If we ask you to build something as part of hiring, we pay for it. Free work is not a hiring process.

You will talk to clients

No layer of managers translating between you and the person whose problem you are solving. It is faster, and you learn more.

Plain words, always

We explain things simply, to clients and to each other. Nobody scores points for sounding clever.

Time zones respected

We work with clients everywhere, which means someone always has an awkward hour. We share that around instead of dumping it on one person.

We say no to bad work

We turn down projects that are set up to fail. You will not be asked to build something you know is wrong.

Yes, for some roles. We care more about how you think than how many years you have. If you are early in your career, show us something you built and explain the decisions you made in it.
Yes. We have worked this way since 2015 and we are not going to change it. You work from wherever you are.
Both. Some people are with us permanently, others join for a project. Tell us which suits your life and we will be straight with you about what we have.
No. We have never once looked at a degree before looking at someone's work.
A short conversation, then a small paid task that looks like real work, then a longer conversation. We pay for the task because your time is worth something. No unpaid multi-day assignments.
