What a licence gives you

A non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the product within the limits of your tier, for as long as you comply with these terms. You're buying the right to use the software, not ownership of it.

The tiers

• Single — use on one site or one machine.
• Business — use across multiple sites or machines within one organisation.
• Agency — use across client projects you build and deliver.

If you're not sure which one your situation needs, ask before buying. We'd rather tell you upfront than have it come up later.

What isn't permitted

• Reselling, redistributing or sublicensing the product as your own.
• Publishing the source, in whole or in part, publicly or in a shared repository.
• Removing or obscuring licensing or attribution mechanisms.
• Using one licence across more installations than your tier allows.

Updates and support

Your licence includes product updates and support for its period, at the response time of your support plan. When the period ends, the software you have keeps working — updates and support pause until you renew. Nothing is remotely disabled.

Modifying the product

You may modify a licensed product for your own use. Modified copies stay under this licence and aren't supported as-is — if you've changed the code and something breaks, we'll help where we reasonably can but can't treat it as a product bug.

Liability

Products are provided as described on their product pages. We're responsible for the product doing what we said it does. We can't accept liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from how it's used — which is why every one of our tools is built to be tested on a copy before it touches production, and why we say so on every product page.

Ending a licence

You can stop using a product at any time. We may terminate a licence for a material breach of these terms — redistribution being the realistic example — and we'd raise it with you before doing so.
